Rob Moore Foundation – We want to give our heartfelt thanks to The Rob Moore Foundation, who helped from the start. When our founder, Ilze, had the concept of a book, we needed funding for illustrations.

Not only did The Rob Moore Foundation gift the funds to get Upside Down out into the world, but Sharon Moore, Trustee of the foundation, also provided practical and emotional support throughout.

In fact, Sharon is still one of our biggest supporters to this day, always at hand for guidance, or a patiently listening ear.

Why are people donating to The Never Alone Project?

In 2023 I had a call from Ilze of the Never Alone Project. Ilze was about to take the bold step of taking on employees and wanted a quotation to run the monthly payroll. Once I heard all about The Never Alone Project and the fantastic work it does to support grieving children I decided then and there to offer my services free of charge to this amazing cause.

So, what made me do this? In September 2010 my sister-in-law Geraldine, who we all called Ged, was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer and sadly passed away just over a month later in October, two weeks before her 46^th Birthday. My brother was devastated but along with coping with his own grief he had a daughter who was just 9 when her Mummy passed away. The sight of that little girl clinging to her Daddy at the funeral will never leave me. There was no Never Alone Project to support them with this devastating loss or to help them navigate their grief.

It is an absolute honor to help in this very small way to support Ilze and this incredible charity so children can receive the support they need at what is the most traumatic time of their lives.
