Pre-Bereavement Support

There are few things in life as painful as knowing time with a loved one is running out. How do you cherish every moment when each one feels like a countdown? How do you support your child, your partner, or even yourself when grief is already beginning to take hold?

At The Never Alone Project, we understand that grief doesn’t start with loss – it starts with the knowing. The knowing that life is changing forever, that moments will soon become memories, that there are things left to say, but you don’t know how to say them.

That’s why we believe support should begin before loss. Our pre-bereavement services in Northamptonshire offer guidance, comfort, and resources to help individuals and families prepare emotionally and practically during this deeply challenging time.

We provide:

  • Family Support – Helping families have open, meaningful conversations about their emotions, fears, and wishes.
  • Access to Information & Resources – Equipping you with tools to navigate difficult discussions and prepare for the future.
  • Peer Support Groups – Connecting you with others who understand, so you don’t have to face this alone.
  • Support for Schools – Assisting educators in providing the right support for students coping with anticipatory grief.
  • Walks & Talks – Offering gentle, supportive spaces where you can share your thoughts or simply be with others who understand.

You don’t have to carry this alone. Whether you need practical advice, emotional support, or just someone who understands, we are here for you.

"I really don’t know what my daughter and I would have done without the incredible support of The Never Alone Project. They wrapped us in love and support & allowed us to join when we weren’t yet bereaved, when no one else would. The support they gave us as a family has been amazing. They allowed our loved one to pass away knowing that we would be supported which was the greatest gift for him. The group sessions with Sally are great fun for my daughter and it’s so lovely seeing her engage with other children in her position. It’s lovely for me to be able to speak to other parents who know exactly how I feel & Ilze’s care is phenomenal! I cannot recommend highly enough & we’ll forever be grateful to be a part of such a great group. It’s the club that no one wants to be in but you’re grateful for it at the same time"
